(Author’s Note: Since Goldrush is on the horizon, in a concerted effort to keep everyone up-to-date with all of our various projects, we’re declaring Tuesdays as our “news days.” Pun absolutely intended. So, be sure to check back every Tuesday moving forward to stay in the loop. Mark you calendars, set a reminder on your phone, etc.!)

Welcome to our first Tuesday update! This continuing series of posts will re-cap and/or look ahead to all of our projects and activities. Trust me, I know with the sheer amount of content out there, our social media posts can easily be missed! But don’t worry, our goal is to keep you updated right here, so you don’t have to do any online detective work piecing things together from our Facebook and Twitter. So let’s get right to it!

We’re Nominated for a Parsec Award!

The Parsec Awards, “A Celebration of Speculative Fiction Podcasting,” announced their 2017 finalists last Thursday. We’re Alive: Lockdown is in the running for “Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Long Form).” This may sound familiar, and that’s because We’re Alive: A Story of Survival won the same award back in 2014! The awards ceremony will be live streamed online, but its date and time is still to be determined. Once they’ve announced the details, we’ll let you know how you can watch the show. You can also keep up to date with news on the upcoming ceremony by checking out their website or Twitter profile. Thank you again to the Parsec Awards for the huge honor, we’re thrilled to be back in the race this year.

We’re Attending Austin Film Festival!

Kc will be a panelist at the Austin Film Festival on Saturday October 28th for three panels starting at 9am central time, including “How to Make a Podcast,” which covers podcast creation from start to finish. You can find his full schedule here, and be sure to add the panels to your AFF schedule if you’re planning on attending. And as always, if you see Kc out an about during the rest of the show, don’t be afraid to say hello!

New Theater for the Mind, “The Raven”

On Friday the 13th, we shared a new entry into our Theater for the Mind series. In the spirit of the season, Kc recorded a reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic, “The Raven.” You can listen on our TFTM iTunes page here, or on Kc’s blog here. And if you haven’t already, give a listen to our previous TFTM project, “Triage. It’s not quite as appropriate to the season as Poe, but still a bit spooky!

Okay that’s nice, but where is We’re Alive: Goldrush?!

IT WILL BE HERE SOON! We’re now well into the fall season, and we had set fall as a target release date. I can tell you, we so badly wish we could share more information with you about its release! But, at this point we are just waiting for some red-tape type stuff to be resolved. Trust us, we want to get Goldrush out there to you as soon as we possibly can! However, with big productions like this sometimes everything isn’t entirely in our hands, or in our control. We’re feeling just as impatient as you are, and are so ready to share Goldrush with the world. We promise the wait will absolutely be worth it, and as soon as we can reveal more we will.

We’re Alive: Archive is Going Strong!

Our next We’re Alive: Archive live stream is coming up this Monday, October 23rd with Nate Geez! The live stream is available to all of our $2+ supporters on Patreon, with the audio episodes available later to all patrons regardless of their reward tier. Questions about our Patreon and how it works? Let us know!

Thanks for catching up with us! We actually have even more going on behind-the-scenes, but you’ll just have to check back next week, maybe we’ll let you in on some new information…til next time!
