General Info:
The M16A2 is currently the standard issue rifle for the United States military, and it replaces the older M16A1, which first saw use in the Vietnam War. It is an air-cooled, gas operated, magazine-fed, shoulder-fired weapon designed for either automatic fire (3-round bursts) or semiautomatic fire (single shot) through the use of a selector lever.
