    Jim Kane is an actor currently living in Los Angeles. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he headed to the east coast to attend Drew University where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Classical Studies. Upon graduating he moved to New York City and attended the Atlantic Theater Company Acting Conservatory. Recently, Jim appeared in the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhlʼs new play Dead Manʼs Cell Phone at Playwrightʼs Horizons (directed by Anne Bogart). He trains regularly with Anne Bogartʼs SITI Company, and in 2007 joined the company at The Public Theatre for a performance of 365 Days/365 Plays, (directed by Barney OʼHanlon and J. Ed Azaria). Jim is a resident actor with the Greek/U.S. theatre company One Year Lease and has appeared in over five projects with them, includingTeaser Cow, Death and the Maiden and Pheadra X 3 (Phedre by Ted Hughes, Pheadra by Matthew McGuire, and Pheadraʼs Love by Sarah Kane). Other regional and NY credits include: Hotel Oracle by Bixby Elliot (commissioned by Sum of Us Theater Co.),Candles to the Sun by Tennessee Williams (produced by New Mummer Group @ Actors Theatre of Louisville), Under MilkWood (directed by Darko Tresniak at The Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Good Thief, Hellhound on My Trail, Waiting for Lefty, and One for the Road. Heʼs a proud member of AEA, SAG and AFTRA.
