Elisa then attended Yale University's Drama program where her acting coursework included dramatic literature, playwriting, Advanced Acting, Speech and Performance, and Shakespeare. She joined the Yale Dramat acting company and worked on over 40 plays and musicals including the role of Alice in "Closer", Truvy in Steel Magnolias", Ophelia in "Hamlet", and Paquette in "Merrily We Roll Along".

After graduation, Elisa moved to New York and was cast as the lead in the awardwinning new musical "Belles of the Mill". After the show's run closed, she moved to Los Angeles, joined SAG and booked appearances on E!, FX's Nip/Tuck, MTV, Nickelodeon and the WB while working on numerous film projects including "The Caregiver" and "Necrosis" starring Tiffany, George Stults, and James Kyson-Lee.
