Which is a safer option for your dog: a collar or a harness?

It depends. Collars are usually less safe than harnesses, but some harnesses induce pulling. I would recommend the Easy Walk harness (it's my favorite) or any 'no-pull' harness.

Bella hated her first harness and every outing was a struggle to get it on because she’d run and hide in her bed. It was secure but not comfortable. I tried six. It just wasn’t worth it to have her being avoidant when walks are a necessary part of her life. It’s doubly important if you plan to do agility or some other sport.
